The Matchless Chieftain is a handwired EL34-powered boutique amplifier with a reputation built on feel as much as sound — bold, harmonically complex, and extraordinarily responsive to the player. Where the DC30 leans into chime and shimmer, the Chieftain pushes harder: more headroom, more authority, and a driven character that moves from pristine clean to rich, saturated breakup with complete musical intention. Version 2 of this pack is a major update: all original 32 A1 profiles are included alongside 32 brand-new A2 profiles captured in the updated Neural Amp Modeler format, bringing improved accuracy, tighter low-end response, and more nuanced dynamic feel to every capture in the collection. Both sides of the amp are covered — eight clean captures with open, three-dimensional clarity, and eight drive captures with the amp pushed into its characteristic warm, singing overdrive — all available as DI profiles so you pair them with any impulse response you choose.

The Full-Rig NAM profiles come loaded with two carefully matched cabinets: the Fender Deluxe Reverb 1x12 with a Jensen C12, bringing tight, focused midrange and classic American clarity, and the Matchless DC30 2x12 with Celestion Greenbacks, adding lush, woody warmth and that distinctly British open-back bloom. Ten mic positions and blends per cabinet give you 20 impulse responses in total, covering close-miced snap through to roomy, open presence. Whether you're tracking blues, indie rock, alternative, or worship guitar, these Neural Amp Modeler profiles deliver a boutique amp that defines what handwired construction sounds like.
