TONEX Board brings IK's AI Machine Modeling together with a full effects section and two signal paths on one floorboard. That opens up far more than a single Tone Model ever could, and a lot more to dial in. We offer two formats, so you can choose how much of the work you want done for you.

What is the difference between Board presets and Tone Models?
A Board preset is a complete rig: Tone Model, cab and effects set up and ready to play. A Tone Model is the capture of a real amp on its own, which you load into your own presets. Many players use both: presets to get playing straight away, and Tone Models to build their own rig around specific amps.
Which devices do these work on?
Everything on this page is built for IK Multimedia TONEX Board. The presets use the Board's effects and routing, so they are not made for TONEX Pedal, TONEX One or TONEX Plug. For those units, see our ToneX guitar profiles and ToneX bass profiles.
What amps have you captured?
The range covers modern high gain amps, classic British and American amps, and boutique heads for rock, metal and blues. Use the Genre and Amp Brand filters at the top of this page to find the sound you are after.
Do the presets include IRs?
Yes. Each preset is built with custom cab IRs matched to the amp, so it sounds finished straight out of the box. Each product description lists exactly what is included.
Are there presets for bass?
The current Board range is focused on guitar. If you play bass, our ToneX bass profiles are Tone Models you can load and build into your own TONEX Board presets.
Which firmware do I need?
Each product lists the firmware and software version it was built on. Your TONEX Board needs that version or newer, since older firmware may not load files made on newer firmware. Keep your Board and your IK software updated for the best results.
How do I install the presets?
Connect your TONEX Board to your computer, open the IK software that came with your Board and import the files from your download. Every download includes step by step instructions.
Will they work live with a band?
Yes. Every preset is tested at volume and through a PA, not just on headphones, so the low end stays tight and the tone cuts through a band mix.
