NUX MG-50Li Tones: Common Questions
What is included in each pack?
Each pack combines amp captures, ready to play presets and mix ready impulse responses, all built specifically for the NUX MG-50Li. Load a preset and you are ready to play, no tweaking required.
How do I load the tones onto my MG-50Li?
Connect your MG-50Li to your computer with USB. Use the free NUX IMAGE app to import the amp captures, and the NUX Audio app to load presets and IRs into your user slots. The MG-50Li holds up to 120 user IRs, so there is plenty of room.
Are there bass tones for the MG-50Li?
Yes. The MG-50Li works for both guitar and bass, and we offer dedicated bass packs including the Ultimate Bass Bundle, Paralight Vol. 1 and 2, and Obsidian Ultra. Use the Instrument filter above to see them.
Can the MG-50Li load NAM captures?
Yes. The MG-50Li imports Neural Amp Modeler files through the NUX IMAGE app, and newer firmware supports NAM A2 Lite natively. That means our NAM guitar captures and NAM bass captures also work on your unit.
Do I need to tweak the tones before playing?
No. The presets are mix ready out of the box. Adjust gain, EQ and output level to suit your guitar or bass and pickups, and add your own effects to taste.
Can I use them with a guitar amp or cab?
The presets are built for full range playback: FRFR speakers, studio monitors, headphones or direct to a PA. When running into a guitar amp or real cab, turn off the IR or cab block so you are not doubling up on speaker simulation.
Which firmware do I need?
We recommend updating your MG-50Li and the NUX apps to the latest versions before importing. This keeps everything in sync and unlocks the newest features, including native NAM A2 Lite support.
