Bring grind, punch, warmth, and definition to your bass tone with Paralight Bass: OD V2 — an expanded collection of overdriven Kemper profiles inspired by the powerful multi-band processing of Neural DSP Parallax.
Version 2 adds 20 brand-new profiles to the complete original collection, giving you 47 Kemper profiles in total across the included V1 and V2 libraries.
Designed to sit between clean bass and all-out high gain, the OD collection covers everything from subtle saturation and added harmonic character to aggressive, grinding overdrive. The profiles retain a strong low-end foundation while adding the midrange presence and attack needed to help bass cut through dense guitar mixes.
Whether you need a touch of grit for rock, a defined progressive bass tone, or aggressive modern metal drive, Paralight Bass: OD delivers a versatile collection of mix-ready driven tones.
✅ 47 Kemper Profiles Total
✅ 20 New V2 Profiles – A completely new selection of overdriven bass tones
✅ 27 Original V1 Profiles – The complete original Paralight Bass: OD collection
✅ Parallax-Inspired Tones – Inspired by the multi-band processing and distortion character of Neural DSP Parallax
✅ Wide Range of Overdrive – From subtle saturation and warmth to aggressive grind and distortion
✅ Mix-Ready Definition – Solid low end combined with added midrange presence, attack, and harmonic detail
A great overdriven bass tone needs to add character without destroying the low-end foundation of the instrument.
Paralight Bass: OD is built around that balance. The collection gives you the weight and depth of a powerful bass foundation combined with controlled saturation, midrange grind, and articulate attack — making it equally useful for adding subtle character or pushing your bass forward in a heavy mix.
Compatible with Kemper Profiler, Kemper Stage, Kemper Player and Kemper Rack/Head systems capable of loading Kemper Rig files.
Modern Rock, Progressive Rock, Modern Metal, Metalcore, Progressive Metal, Djent, Alternative Metal, Hard Rock, Fusion
Periphery, TesseracT, Karnivool, Tool, Porcupine Tree, Architects, Spiritbox, Northlane, Monuments, The Contortionist, ERRA
