Experience the tight response, immediate attack, and unmistakable punch of a legendary solid-state bass amp with Obsidian Cryptogram: Krueger 800 V2 — an expanded Kemper collection inspired by the iconic Gallien-Krueger 800RB.
A staple of professional bass rigs since the 1980s, the 800RB became famous for its ability to deliver tight lows, clear mids, fast transient response, and plenty of presence without sacrificing the natural character of the instrument.
Version 2 adds 25 brand-new clean profiles to the 10 original V1 profiles, giving you 35 Kemper profiles in total, plus 11 custom Ampeg-style 4x10 IRs.
From deep and balanced clean sounds to bright, articulate tones that jump out of the mix, Krueger 800 V2 gives you a comprehensive collection of classic solid-state bass character ready for stage and studio.
✅ 35 Kemper Bass Profiles Total
✅ 25 New V2 Clean Profiles – A significantly expanded exploration of the amp's clean tonal range
✅ 10 Original V1 Profiles – The complete original Krueger 800 collection
✅ 11 Ampeg-Style 4x10 IRs – Custom bass cabinet IRs with multiple mix variations
✅ Classic Solid-State Punch – Tight lows, immediate attack, clear mids, and articulate top end
✅ Mix-Ready Definition – Bass tones designed to remain clear and present in dense arrangements
The character of the 800RB is all about speed, punch, and articulation.
Instead of the softer response and saturation associated with traditional tube bass amps, Krueger 800 V2 delivers an immediate feel with controlled low end and a focused midrange that lets every note speak clearly.
The expanded V2 collection explores that clean character across 25 additional profiles, making this pack an ideal choice for slap, pick playing, fingerstyle, fast technical lines, and any situation where bass needs to remain tight and defined.
Compatible with Kemper Profiler, Kemper Stage, Kemper Player and Kemper Rack/Head systems capable of loading Kemper Rig files.
Includes 11 WAV-format bass cabinet IRs for use with compatible hardware, software, and IR loaders.
Funk, Rock, Punk, Alternative Rock, Ska, Progressive Rock, Fusion, Indie, Pop, Modern Rock
Red Hot Chili Peppers, No Doubt, Primus, Muse, Guns N' Roses, Tool, Faith No More, and players chasing the classic punch and articulation of GK-style bass rigs
